This Week's Photo Hunt Theme: High
This is a shot of the west side of midtown Manhattan taken from one of our office windows. The landmark on the left is the famed Empire State Building. This is my first contribution to the Photo Hunt effort and I'm posting it a few hours early.
Have a great weekend.

great view! which building are you in?
Mari,
My building's on the opposite side of the Empire State Building. :D
ganda naman ng view nyo! i used to work a few blocks from ESB, when i was still in school many moons ago. if you're in that area, do you frequent koreatown for bbq then?
I'm joining the PhotoHunt too for the first time this week but in a photo blog I just started called Captured Beat.
The Empire State Building is very much an icon of the city and easily recognizable even by those who haven't been to NY. And I think that Hollywood has a lot to do with that.
Now you made me recall "An Affair to Remember"... hehe. Oh look! There's Deborah Kerr and Cary Grant! :-D
Have a fun weekend, pards
nice view. i wish i can spot spiderman. =D
Hi Abby,
I've passed by Koreantown a number of times na pero I haven't tried any of the restaurants there. It's still a bit of a walk from my office pero I've always wanted to try them. I must do it one of these days. There are so many things around NYC that I have yet to enjoy or do. :(
Nice shot! Brings back memories of my trip to the Big Apple many years ago. And welcome to the photohunt. I'm back in the hunt after an absence of two months.
Em,
Great! I'll link to your new site then if you won't mind. Yours will be the 4th photo blog I've linked to. I'm actually thinking of setting up a separate category links for photo blogs.
Yes, Hollywood has played a major part in making the ESB famous around the world. They romanticize it in movies like "Affair to Remember" or "When Harry Met Sally" or destroy it and the whole city in movies like "I Am Legend" and "Fantastic Four". :)
Rudy,
Pards, it's actually one of my favorite movies. I enjoy watching Cary Grant's movies. The younger ones among us should sample some of his too. I think with an open mind, they will enjoy those movies.
RJ,
Pinakiusapan ko muna si Spiderman na tumabi habang kinukunan ko ng picture ang ESB. Mabait naman siya at pinagbigyan ako. Hahaha
Thanks for the visit, Pards. :)
Mon,

Nice view from your office window! I guess I wouldn't be able to work with a view like that !
Denz,
Thanks for the compliment and for the visit. :)
Hi Sidney,
Sometimes it doesn't but most of the time it does help me work. The view does help me think. Actually, ever since I was a kid and whenever I needed to do some serious thinking, I would always look out the window. Never fails to work for me. Welcome back!
Great shot, I love to visit NYC.
This photo just made me miss my old hometown.
Great capture!
New York! New York! Wouldn't miss the Empire state! great sky pa!
Where were you standing at when you took it?
Welcome to Saturday photo hunting! ;-)
Jan,
Thank you. :)
Eric,
Thanks. The day was kind of clear when I took the photo. You miss your NY old haunts while I feel the same about Manila. :)
Gizelle,
I was in one of our conference rooms on the 42nd floor, which happened to be the top floor of the building.
Thanks for the welcome. :)

Carlotta1924,
